Editorial Standards
Elite Soda’s credibility depends on readers trusting that what we publish is accurate, independent and clearly labelled when it is commercial. These standards apply to every article on the Site.
Independence
Editorial decisions (what we cover, how we cover it and what we conclude) are made by the Elite Soda editorial team, independently of advertisers, affiliate partners and sponsors. No brand can pay for a positive review or for a place in a buying guide.
How we choose and recommend products
Recommendations are based on research into specifications, materials, craftsmanship, price, brand reputation, availability and value, drawing on manufacturer documentation, independent reviews, owner feedback and market data. When we have not handled a product ourselves, we do not imply that we have.
Sourcing and fact-checking
- Prices, specifications and availability are checked against primary sources such as the brand’s official website or authorised retailers at the time of writing, and we note that prices change.
- Where a claim cannot be independently verified, we attribute it to its source rather than state it as fact.
- We link to our sources where it helps readers check our work.
Use of AI and software tools
We use software, including AI-assisted research and drafting tools, to help plan and draft some articles. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and edited by a human editor before publication, and the editor is accountable for its accuracy. We do not publish unreviewed machine-generated content, and we do not use AI to invent quotes, experiences or test results.
Images
We use licensed photography, brand press images and, where clearly appropriate, illustrative images. Illustrative or AI-generated images are not presented as photographs of a specific real product.
Disclosure
- Articles that contain affiliate links carry a disclosure near the top of the page, in line with the US Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
- Sponsored content is labelled “Sponsored” or “Partner Content” in the article header.
- Gifted products, hosted travel or press trips referenced in a story are disclosed within the article.
Updates and corrections
We review buying guides regularly and update them when models, prices or availability change; the updated date is shown on the article. When we get something wrong, we fix it and, for material errors, add a correction note with the date. To report an error, use our contact form and choose “Correction”.
Accountability
Every article carries a byline linked to an author page. We do not publish anonymous editorial content. Questions about these standards can be sent through our Contact page.
